Summer Canvas Sale!

To celebrate the fact that summer is finally here, I am offering a Summer Canvas Sale. I haven't offered this sale before and it may be a while before I do it again. The sale includes all canvas sizes (ranging from 8x10 to 24x36). Anyone booking a session* and purchasing a canvas before midnight on July 31, 2009 will receive 25% off of each canvas. Duplicate canvases (meaning the second canvas, same size and print) will be 50% off. Please call or e-mail me to book a session or get a price list.

Speaking of booking sessions, June is the last month I am waiving my session fee. I have a few sessions left before the end of the month but they are booking up fast. The only exception is newborn sessions. If you've already spoken to me about setting up a newborn session, you will still receive the waived session fee. As of July 1 I will be charging my session fee of $75 which will cover my time and talent only.

2 Beautiful Princesses

I had so much fun working with "M" and "S" over the weekend. Their mommy has a special place in my heart because of helping me with my infertility :)

The girls were a little shy at first, but once they warmed up they were giving me beautiful smiles and even helping me find cool places to take their pictures. I kept telling them they looked like two beautiful princesses. Here is your sneak peek guys!

Beautiful Expecting Mama

I had the pleasure of meeting "A" on Friday evening to capture photos of her second pregnancy. Being the crunchy, natural-birth mama's that we are, we hit it off right away :)We had a blast exploring Maymont and even getting kicked out of the park at the end of the evening (sorry about that! haha). The family chose not to find out the sex of the baby beforehand, so I thought a "?" would be cute!

Looking for Newborn Girls

Once again I am seeking some fresh faces. This time I am specifically looking for newborn girls. Here are the requirements:

-must be a girl ;)
- must be 1 week old or less
-must be due within the next 6 weeks
-parents must sign a model release

Here's what you'll get:

Family Session with the Flores Family

I had the privilege of working with the Flores family while they were visiting from California. We had a perfect overcast day (yes, to photographers, overcast is perfect!) and had a great time shooting all over Maymont. Here are some of my favorites from that day.

Ana Brandt Pure Posing Workshop

This past weekend I attended a workshop with one of my favorite newborn photographers. I've admired her work, her youtube tutorials, and stalked her blog for a while now. When I saw she was having a workshop in Maryland I knew I had to go. I went up to Boonsboro on Saturday and spent the day with Ana and a dozen or so amazing photographers. We had the opportunity to work with 2 newborns and a maternity model. I had a great time and learned so much. I shot over 100 pictures, but here's a few of my favorites:
